Morì Luigi XIII e il suo figlio era ancora giovane • Il figlio aveva solo 5 anni quando il padre morì • La guerra dei trent’ anno nel frattempo era finita (1648) • Mazzarino rimase in carica fino alla sua morte (1661) • Luigi XIV aveva 22 anni decise di guidarlo se stasso il governo • Scese come simbolo il sole perché come il sole • voleva illuminare la Francia (re sole)
