ECOOP - consensus meeting General aspects What do we want to have? - what is needed? • actual description of the European coastal marine environment incl. the shelf seas • classification of the actual marine condition looking at climate and environmental well-known situations (e.g. climatologies) • prediction of the marine environment to safe life, to secure navigation, to recognise environmental and climate changes • decision support/help tools to assess risks and to distribute warnings • dissemination of technology of marine systems, SW, HW, transmission systems across pan-Europe ECOOP-consensus.
