  1. Room 318 / Pease / Science • Look for the number on the card you received when you came in. • Please sit silently at the group of desks with same number as written on the chalkboard hanging above them. • Please fill out the “Facebook” handout you also received at the door along with you desk group number.

  3. Class Room Agenda for Today • Fill out Facebook information sheet • Class Procedures / Expectation Power Point • Hand out Forms to be signed by Parents • Decorate File Folders • Answer any Questions

  4. Class Expectations • 1. Have all appropriate materials and supplies at your table and be seated when the bell rings • 2. Respect the people, animals, equipment and furnishings of room 318 • 3. Follow Directions the first time they are given

  5. Class Expectations Cont. • 4. Stay in your seat unless you have permission to do otherwise • 5. Raise your hand and wait for permission to do otherwise • 6. Do NOT TEXT,eat, drink, or chew anything in class • 7. Be on time to class, EVERYDAY! • 8. Come to learn, Not Play! (This is not daycare!)

  6. Consequences • 1. Warning verbal or non-verbal • 2. Documented Warning (sign clip board) • 3. Parent Contact • 4. Office Referral

  7. Class Procedures Entering the room • Enter SILENTLY with all personal business already take care of. • Sharpen Pencil • Collect File Folder from milk crate • Sit SILENTLY in assigned seat • Do Daily Warm Up • Waite for further directions

  8. Noise Level • Look at chart to learn noise level expected • Follow the level the arrow points to

  9. Signal to Give Teacher Attention • Teacher will state: • Mouths Closed • Ears Open • Eyes on Me • Teacher will count down to 0 on hand • If teacher reaches 0, students will loose time after for each finger she holds back up will equal 1 second of time owed after the bell rings.

  10. Group Work • Listen to teacher directions silently • Work as a team in a quiet, indoor fashion • Each member will have a specific job to help the group work as a team

  11. Turn in Work • Baskets located on Book Case next to word wall • Teacher will collect as a group • Or, Student will be asked to put work into Class Period Turn In Basket • Baskets are labeled by class period • If you choose to not put your work in the correct basket it is the same as not turning it in at all.

  12. Trash / Wastebasket • If entering or leaving class, big trash can is by the door • If at your seat, each group will have a small trash can to use (NO ONE is to be up and walking the room for any reason without permission) • If your groups trashcan is full 1 person gets permission to get up to empty it.

  13. End of Class / Exit the Room • Each person in group will help clean up desk area • 1 person will collect file folders and put them back into the correct files in the milk crates • 1 Person will empty the trashcan into the large trash can • 1 Person will put away any supplies used • 1 Person will turn in group’s work.

  14. Daily Required Supplies • Science Journal • 2 pocket folder (science only) • Pen / Pencil that works • Hand Held Pencil sharpener • Completed Homework • Ready to Learn Attitude

  15. Grades • Posted Weekly on Bullitan Board by Long Table at door.

  16. Grading / Missing Assignments • 1. Make up work and extra credit will not be given(students responsible to turn in work on time with name at top of assignment) • 2. Progress reports will go home every other Monday (or first day of the week) to be signed and returned by Wednesday • 3. Name must be on all assignments, • NO Name=NO Grade

  17. Cheating • Automatic U for Conduct • Automatic 0% with no opportunity to make up • Cheating includes but not limited to: • Copying information from another student • Copying from an encyclopedia, internet, ect. • Allowing someone else to copy your work

  18. Things to Look For • Bi-Weekly Science only Progress reports • Newsletter at Beginning of each 6 weeks • New vocabulary attached to newsletter

  19. Animals Bearded Dragon (C-C) Tadpole / Frog (Tad) Guine Pigs • Do NOT handle without permission • Do NOT feed them anything without teacher permission • Anyone who mis-treats an animal in a negative/harmful manner on purpose will have charges pressed against them. • Animal Cruelty is against the law in the USA.
