Monday, 29 August 2005 • Everybody should register for a lab section • My first screw-up: • The final exam is on a Tuesday, 13 Dec • Not Monday, 12 Dec, as the syllabus states • TAs and office hours are on the website • First homework will be out later this week • Homeworks are due Friday mornings • My office hours are changing • Are now M/W/F 11-noon • The Monday one is no longer from 3:30-4:30 • But it will be today… • Professor Luebke’s office hours will probably be changing as well (more on that later) • Java on Mac installation is on the website • Sign up for a lab sections if you haven’t already!

Wednesday, 28 September 2005 • How to compute your grades • Compute each grade as a percentage (out of 100) • Multiply each grade by the assignment’s weight • Sum those up • Divide by the total weight • Average weighted grade so far is 93 • We expect this to lower as the semester progresses • HISTORICALLY, the grade range has been: • A: 90+, B: 80-89, C: 70-79, D/F: <70
