  2. 01 VG SLEEVES INSTALLATION INTRODUCTIONS The VG valve is installed with one sleeve inserted into each of the two housings that make up the valve housing assembly. Sleeves can be easily installed. When installing the sleeves consideration should be given to the following details to insure smooth start up and performance of the equipment:

  3. 02 VG SLEEVES INSTALLATION INITIAL INSPECTION Before installation, inspect the sleeve for any damage that may have occurred during shipping or storage

  4. 03 VG SLEEVES INSTALLATION Ensure that all plugs are installed into the back of the sleeve. Note: if the plugs are missing, the valve will not operate at its optimum performance.

  5. 04 VG SLEEVES INSTALLATION OPEN POSITION Sleeves shall be installed with the gate in the fully open position.

  6. 05 VG SLEEVES INSTALLATION SLEEVES LUBRICATION Sleeves are supplied apart with no grease at all. CAUTION: Under no circumstances should a hydrocarbon-based lubricant be used.

  7. 06 VG SLEEVES INSTALLATION Apply lubricant to the seal surface of the sleeve.

  8. 07 VG SLEEVES INSTALLATION Apply a thin film lubricant on the outside diameter of the sleeve.

  9. 08 VG SLEEVES INSTALLATION SLEEVE INSTALLATION Press sleeves into the valve housing, one from each side. The sleeve can be installed in any orientation. .

  10. 09 VG SLEEVES INSTALLATION LUBRICATION FITTINGS Apply some grease through the lubrication fittings. They are located in the upper part of the body.

  11. 10 VG SLEEVES INSTALLATION GATE LUBRICATION The gate may be lubricated by applying lubricant directly onto the gate surface.

  12. 11 VG SLEEVES INSTALLATION VALVE DELIBERY Sleeves should be totally covered with a opaque plastic to eliminate sun light. Valves shall deliver with the gate in the fully open position.
