  2. LAST WEEK YOU LEARNT NUMBERS IN FRENCH. IT IS IMPORTANT YOU HAVE ALL THE NUMBERS FROM 0 TO 31 COPIED INTO YOUR EXERCISE BOOK. IF NOT, YOU MUST FINISH THAT FIRST. (GO BACK TO LAST WEEK’S SLIDESHOW) THE NEXT 2 SLIDES CONTAIN EXERCISES TO HELP YOU PRACTISE THE NUMBERS FROM 0 TO 31 IN FRENCH. WRITE ALL YOUR ANSWERS IN YOUR EXERCISE BOOKS. USE THE NOTES YOU MADE LAST WEEK TO HELP YOU.

NOW YOU ARE GOING TO USE THE NUMBERS TO SAY HOW OLD YOU ARE… TO ASK SOMEONE “HOW OLD ARE YOU?” IN FRENCH, THIS IS WHAT YOU SAY… “QUEL ÂGE AS-TU?” IT IS PRONOUNCED “KELL – AHJE – AH – TO” WRITE THIS TITLE IN YOUR BOOK …. “SAYING HOW OLD I AM” WRITE “QUEL ÂGE AS-TU?” = “HOW OLD ARE YOU?” IN YOUR BOOK

  6. TO ANSWER THE QUESTION IN FRENCH, THIS IS WHAT YOU SAY. FOR THIS EXAMPLE WE ARE SAYING “12 YEARS OLD”. REMEMBER THE WORD FOR 12 IS “DOUZE” “J’AI DOUZE ANS” IT IS PRONOUNCED “ZHAY – DOOZE – AHN” IF YOU ARE 11 YEARS OLD, YOU SAY “J’AI ONZE ANS” IF YOU ARE 19 YEARS OLD, YOU SAY “J’AI DIX-NEUF ANS” CAN YOU SEE THE PATTERN? SIMPLY USE THE WORDS “J’AI” AND “ANS” AND PUT THE NUMBER FOR THE AGE BETWEEN THEM. SO TO SAY HOW OLD I AM, IT IS “J’AI .....(NUMBER IN FRENCH)…..ANS” IN YOUR BOOK, NOW WRITE HOW OLD YOU ARE IN FRENCH. THE EXERCISE ON THE NEXT SLIDE WILL HELP YOU PRACTICE MORE
