  3. Overview of the Regional Homelessness Action Plans • 9 plans covering the state • Implements the strategic directions of the NSW Homelessness Action Plan • Developed in 2009/2010 • Regional Homelessness Committees

Develop and Implement Regional Homelessness Action Plan Report to the Regional Management Cluster and to the NSW Homelessness Interagency Committee Continue to support and monitor the implementation of the plan Further develop the plan as the needs of the region changes Conduit for information around homelessness and the service system Role of the Regional Homelessness Committees

  6. 3 May - draft RHAP’s circulated amongst RHC members for review and submission 31 May – Commonwealth approval of National Partnership Implementation Plan 1 June – RHC Chairs advised of Commonwealth approval of priority projects 7 June – Final Draft of RHAP’s submitted to Justice and Human Services for approval 17 June – J&HS approve RHAP’s 1 July – Implementation of RHAP’s Regional Homelessness Action Plan Time Frames - 2010

Process for Developing and Assessing the Priority Projects • Regional Consultation Workshops held • Potential projects developed by RHC’s • Potential projects assessed by a sub-committee of the NSW Homelessness Interagency Committee • Proposals submitted to Justice & Human Services for endorsement • Draft National Partnership on Homelessness NSW Implementation Plan and endorsed projects submitted to Cabinet and the commonwealth government
