SMI Mobile Smart Card Solutions POWERFUL SMI products utilize HID iCLASS technology – up to 16k of data/images, depending on application, can be stored in either new iCLASS cards or tags for upgrades to existing cards/vehicles/assets etc. Data can be loaded either singly or in batch mode – ensuring total usability.

SMIHost™ Use SMIHost™ to iCLASS-enable your existing or legacy Access Control applications. No duplication of data, no programming required.
SMIHost™ - The application – Step 1 Step 1 Use the Database screen to tell SMIHost™ how to locate the information that you wish to write to an iCLASS credential, or extract for download to the PDA. Enter details such as the type of database, where it is located, security information, and specific table names.
SMIHost™ - The application – Step 2 Step 2 On the Design screen, choose the fields you wish to use from the database selected in Step 1, and design the appearance of the PDA screen, using drag-and-drop to place fields, images and labels on the screen as required.
SMIHost™ - The application – Step 3 Step 3 In fully automatic mode, with no user intervention required, use the Access Control number in the credential to automatically extract the required data from the database. Automatically re-sizes images from the database to fit on the card.
SMIMobile™ Using iCLASS technology, all data can be held on the card - it is not necessary to maintain a database on the PDA. This eliminates concerns about loss or theft of the PDA, and reduces the burden of continuous synchronization of data. Present the card or other credential to the small Reader module in the PDA, and the card contents are displayed. Include an optional ‘watch-list’ on the PDA for up-to-date exclusions, or use Wireless communications for a real-time link with the Host. Record an audit trail of card reads on the PDA for upload back to the Host, and subsequent reporting.
SMIProxMobile™ Use SMIProxMobile™ to add mobile security to a Prox-based system. Download required data to the PDA using SMIHost™, and use the Access Control number on the Prox card to look up and display associated records. Present the card to the Reader module in the PDA, and display data as required. Use Wireless communications for a real-time link with the Host. Record an audit trail of card reads on the PDA for upload back to the Host, and subsequent reporting.
