  4. Hospitality SHSM • 4 required credits in specific Major areas – Hospitality/Tourism • Plus 2 credits of Cooperative Education • Plus 3 other required credits (Eng./Math/Bus.) Specialist High Skills Major 6 Key Components • 9 credits in total for a SHSM diploma • 4 Possible Program destinations: Apprenticeship, University, College or Work • Industry recognized certifications for each sector • Students receive a prestigious graduation diploma from the Ministry of Education

  5. SHSM Industry Certifications • 3 Required – Basic First Aid, CPR, WHMIS • Hospitality and Tourism (x2)– Safe Food Handling and Service Excellence • These professional/industry certifications are paid for by the school and are recognized by industry
