Controversies of Sodexo • In 2010, Sodexo was caught forfeiting their focus on food quality when they chose suppliers that would give them the biggest cash rebate instead of suppliers who offers the best quality (prwatch) • Sodexo was implicated in British horsemeat scandal when the company found horse DNA all over Sodexo’s products (prwatch) • A lot of schools have now cancelled their contracts with Sodexo as a result of these controversies

  2. What exactly is industrial food? • Chemically treated, highly processed food distributed in mass amounts • It has taken over our food supply in attempt to feed more amounts of people in an easier and more efficiently

What are the effects of industrial food? • The rise of industrial food has led to: • Shorter life spans • Increased obesity • High chances of caner and high blood pressure • The health effects come from the additives and the preservatives in the processed food • The additives have been shown to be linked to allergic reactions, cancer and asthma
