  2. You are God’s Masterpiece, Masterpieced to Create Masterpieces! (Ephesians 2.10) • No one has a minor destiny! • We are a body of Christians and there are no vestigial organs in the body of Christ! You Have a Destiny

  3. Before we discuss: • How To Find Your Destiny • How To Fulfil Your Destiny • Must deal with an issue that holds so many Christians back • Religion lies to people and tells them that: • God is not Good • Their Destiny is not Good Your Destiny is Brilliant!

  4. Is dishonest • Will not say “God is not good” • Will say: “God is good but” • Kills Your Baby • Causes A Car Accident • Wants You to Go Through Hell • Will say: “You have a good future but” • God wants you to give up all your possessions • Wear grass and eat dirt The Language of Religion

  5. 1 Do not fret because of evildoers,         Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,         And wither as the green herb. 3 Trust in the LORD, and do good;         Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.4 Delight yourself also in the LORD,         And He shall give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the LORD,         Trust also in Him,          And He shall bring it to pass.6 He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,         And your justice as the noonday. Truth That Sets You Free

Psalm 37

  8. 3Trust in the LORD, and do good;Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. • Start to trust the Lord – that You are a masterpiece and that Your future contains masterpieces. • Doing good should always be an expression of our trust in the Lord – not an expression of fear or pride. Psalm 37

  9. 3Trust in the LORD, and do good;Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. • Dwell in the land: • Means to be settled and established • Focus on the promises of God for all His people • Christianity moves from the general to the specific – not the other way around • Like military • Believer > Apostle Psalm 37

  10. 3Trust in the LORD, and do good;Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. • And faithfully you will be fed • Enjoy safe pasture (NIV) • Enjoy faithfulness (YLT) • You will be truly fed (Webster’s) Psalm 37

  11. Do Not Let the World Concern You • Believe the Best About God • Start to Operate in the “General” Destiny • God will faithfully Show You Your “Specific” Destiny Psalm 37

  12. 4Delight yourself also in the LORD,And He shall give you the desires of your heart. • Delight Yourself in the Lord means that You Have to Enjoy Being You and Enjoy Being in the Lord • The root of the word is delicate pampering Psalm 37

  13. 4Delight yourself also in the LORD,And He shall give you the desires of your heart. • This verse is not saying the Lord will give you what you desire. • This verse is saying the Lord will give you desires. • This is how the Lord reveals your destiny to you: through desire. Psalm 37

  14. Do Not Let the World Concern You • Believe the Best About God • Start to Operate in the “General” Destiny • God will faithfully Show You Your “Specific” Destiny • Start to rejoice in who you are • Start to rejoice that You Are In Him • He will start giving you desires Psalm 37

  15. 5Commit your way to the LORD,Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. • Commit Your Destiny to the Lord: • Roll All Responsibility onto the Lord • Walk by faith in grace • Trust ALSO in Him – He will make it come to pass! (Feel Safe) Psalm 37

  16. 6He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,And your justice as the noonday. • Righteousness will flood the place • Justice will be evident to all • Your destiny will be seen to come to pass. Everyone will know. Psalm 37

Do Not Let the World Concern You • Believe the Best About God • Start to Operate in the “General” Destiny • God will faithfully Show You Your “Specific” Destiny • Start to rejoice in who you are • Start to rejoice that You Are In Him • He will start giving you desires • Commit these desires to the Lord • They will come to pass Psalm 37

  18. Comfort • Rest • Revenge • Sex • Food Desires of the Flesh

  19. The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord. (1 Cor. 7.39) • Marry who YOU want to marry • Is no divine spark; prophecy; word from God. • Cf. Genesis 2 • Never have to marry someone don’t want to! • Don’t let flesh push you here! • Make sure they are in the Lord! Marriage and Destiny

  20. Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table. (Psalm 128.3) • Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD. (Proverbs 18.2) • Proverbs 5:18; Proverbs 12:4; Proverbs 19:14; Proverbs 31:10-12; Ecclesiastes 4:9-11 Marriage and Destiny

  21. New Covenant Believers! • God is Good When He makes the World! • Sin doesn’t bring God’s anger and wrath: • Cain and Abel • Law brings God’s Wrath • Pick up sticks = dead! • God is Good! • Jesus dealt with law (Col. 2.13-15) God Is A Good God

  23. Only Interested in Basic Needs • Don’t Touch Anything • Don’t Bother Me • Too busy for the likes of you • You must not get emotional • You must not be noisy How Many Christians See God

  24. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29.11) • God does not know how to give you a harmful destiny. • It will be: • Something you enjoy • Something you want to do • Something you are good at God is Good!
