  1. HLCP • HLCP is the Hourly Load Calculation Program. • Used for Seasonal, monthly and Hourly HVAC load calculations for Indian cities. • Developed by ISHRAE

  2. Benefits of HLCP • Heat balance method. • Self-shading of the building. • Window external shading and reveal effects. • Treated fresh air. • Seasonal, Monthly and Hourly loads. • Validated EnergyPlus simulation engine.

  3. HLCP features • GUI interface. • Windows Desktop application. • Designed for ease of data entry. • Developed in DOT NET framework.

  4. HLCP uses EnergyPlus • Software for Energy analysis and Thermal Load Simulation developed by DOE, U.S. and derived from: • BLAST (Building Loads Analysis and System thermodynamics) • DOE-2 • 1970 Energy crisis

  5. HLCP uses WeDCo Data • WeDCo = (Weather Data and Design Conditions. • Seasonal and Hourly weather data for Indian cities. • Result of a 5 year ISHRAE project. • Adopted by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

  6. HLCP uses CBRI conductivities. • HLCP uses material conductivity values as tested by CBRI (Central Building Research Institute).
