  3. Question • What are your thoughts in regards to education? • Is it significant for you to obtain an education? If so, why?

  4. Purpose of Michelle Obama’s visit to London • To request female students to take education seriously.

  5. Mrs. Obama’s Foundation for a Great Education • The importance commitment. • The significance of her family. • The importance of being surrounded of the people who love & care for her.

  6. Closing the Gap • “The world as it is and the world as it should be.” • The world as it is does not reflect our values. • The gap between those 2 ideas should be closed.

  7. Significance of a Good Education • Good education will close the gap. • Michelle Obama states the importance of empowered women in a family. • Intelligent women create a better future for themselves and for the people who surround them.

  8. Mrs. Obama makes a connection between women such as Frida Kahlo and Emily Bronte. • Women like them opened many doors for other women.

  9. Mrs. Obama emphasizes how important it is for these girls to obtain a good education. • They are the ones who control their own destiny. • She encourages them to create the world as it should be.
