  2. Word Art • Most word processors have a word art gallery that contains predefined styles such as curved and stretched text.

  3. 3-D effects • You can enhance an object by applying 3-D effects to it.

  4. Text boxes • Text boxes are frequently used for labels or callouts in a document. Once a text box is inserted in a document, you can format, resize, and move it as you would a graphic object.

  5. Shapes • Word processors have a variety of shapes (stars, banners, callouts, arrows, circles, boxes, flowchart, symbols, etc.) that you can add to a document

  6. Text Wrap • Text near a graphic can be wrapped (positioned) so it is above and below the object only, surrounds the object, or appears to be keyed behind or in front of the object

  7. Justify • Another way to align text is to justify (of full justify) it. When text is justified, the left and right margins are aligned evenly. The word processor inserts extra spaces between words so that each line ends evenly at the right margin. • CTRL + J

  8. Drop Cap • Drop caps are objects that can be formatted and sized. Two drop cap formats are usually available. One capitalizes the first letter of the first word in the paragraph with a large dropped capital letter and then wraps the text around the drop cap.

  9. Newspaper Style Columns • Multiple column documents, such as pamphlets, leaflets, brochures, and newsletters, use newspaper style columns to divide a document into two or more vertical columns that are placed side by side on a page.
