  1. Need Help? Why having a Ladies Auxiliary can boost your Post.

  2. Do you…? Want to increase membership and participation? Want to win more Department and National awards? Want to involve your community in more of your events? Want to offer more meals to the public? Want to serve more veterans, active-duty military and their families?

  3. A Ladies Auxiliary can help!

  4. What can a Ladies Auxiliary do for us? • We can open the doors to new members • The newest generation of veterans want family-oriented events • We can help spread the word on the scholarship programs • We can offer valuable assistance for meal and event preparation • We can assist with Buddy Poppy Drives • We can boost the Post’s visibility in the community by being involved

  5. By the Number: What the Ladies Auxiliary VFW did collectively in 2012-2013. 3,749 Patriotic Holiday Programs 2,798 Patriotic Youth Programs 2,472 POW/MIA Programs 5,220 Flag-flying certificates 1.3 million volunteer hours in VA and non-VA facilities $6.4 million to support veterans and their families $1.7 million on youth scholarships and activities

  6. How do we get a Ladies Auxiliary? Announce to your members that you will be voting on it and that the vote will take place at a specific meeting. If the members vote yes, then let the Department President know. She will assign an Organizer, who will work on getting the required number of members and filling out the paperwork.

  7. Does it cost us anything? A Ladies Auxiliary has a Charter Kit fee of $40, but the members will take care of that. Besides that, no, it should not cost the Post anything.

  8. How long would it take? From the time the Post votes to have a Ladies Auxiliary, it could take anywhere from 6 weeks to 4 months. Hint! Be as organized as possible before you even vote, with interested possible members ready to sign up.

  9. What else do we need to know? A Ladies Auxiliary can be the best asset a Post ever had. Many hands make light work. Members are passionate about helping veterans and their families.

  10. We want to help you!
