Scientist in the School: Forces acting on Structures

In an engaging science session, students participated in a construction challenge to understand the forces acting on structures. Each group created a free-standing structure, showcasing their engineering skills. Shreela and Emily impressed everyone with a design that supported 21 math textbooks, emphasizing the strength of triangular formations. Abdullah, Walid, Eshaan, Sylva, Barbara, Osamah, and Jaylynn all explored balance using popsicle sticks in creative ways. Ultimately, Team Hurricane emerged victorious in the construction challenge, demonstrating teamwork and ingenuity.
