POISON CONTROL- GET THE FACTS • Children age 5 and under make up more than half(51%) of all poison exposures • U.S. poison centers receive 1 call every 12.7 seconds • Nearly 83 percent of poison exposures are unintentional • Almost half (49%) of teen poison exposures are intentional • Household products account for 8.6 percent of all poison exposures

  7. Healthy Homemade Cleaners Using doTERRA essential oils

Spray Cleaners • Use a spray bottle with water and few drops of any citrus essential oil like lemon or a defense blend like Onguard. • Disinfect bathrooms and kitchen surfaces, add some castile soap or use the Onguard cleaner to make a more soapy cleaner • Suggested oils • Lavender • Grapefruit • Lemon • Cinnamon • Thyme • Clove • Citrus bliss • eucalyptus

  9. Dishwasher • Place a few drops of an essential oil to your soap base • Not only cleans your dishes but, also the inside of your dishwasher • Suggested oils • Lavender • Lemon • Melaleuca • Wild orange • Onguard Cleaner

  10. Laundry • Use a few drops of essential oils in your laundry • adds a fresh smell • acts as a powerful disinfectant • For every load, add 5 drops of Eucalyptus to kill dust mites • For a wonderful smell add your favorite essential oil to your homemade laundry soap.

  11. Floors Formula for a Mop Add a ¼ cups of vinegar to a bucket of water. Then add 5 drops of melaleuca or lemon.

  12. Carpets Carpet Freshener Use ten or more drops of essential oil in a cup of borax powder (or baking soda) left over night for the powder to absorb the oil. Sprinkle in carpet and then vacuum up.

  13. HOMEMADE LAUNDRY DETERGENT 1 Fels Naphtha Soap bar, grated 1 cup washing soda ½ cup borax • Grate the soap bar into a small saucepan. Cover with hot water. Cook over med-low heat, stirring continually, until the soap completely dissolves. • Put washing soda and borax in a 5-gallon bucket. Pour in the hot soap mixture. Stir, cover securely, let set overnight. The next morning, stir the mixture. Mix equal amounts of soap concentrate and water in a smaller laundry-detergent dispenser or container. Shake before using. • For top loading machine: Use 1 cup of the soap mixture per loadFor front-loading machines: Use 1/2 cup per load.

  14. All Natural Deodorant ½ cup baking soda ½ cup corn starch or arrowroot powder Coconut oil about 7 tsp Mix powders together in a bowl, than add coconut oil until it’s the consistency of deodorant (essential oils can be added at anytime), store in an air tight container.
