  2. Valiano delivers the highest expressions of Chianti. It’s represent core expression of family’s commitment to Quality and Terroir. • Named after the Latin term for “valor,” this property is located in Castelnuovo Berardenga on the southern side of the Chianti Classico area. • It includes 230 ha of land, of which 70 ha are planted to Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Chardonnay. • The oldest vineyard ( 1967 ) of Valiano estate is Poggio Teo, the birth place for our single vineyard Chianti Classico - Poggio Teo. • Manual harvest only. • The entire process of winemaking and aging takes place on the estate. • All Valiano wines are bottled on the estate only.

Wine Maker - Dr. Paolo Vagaggini • Paolo Vagaggini is 1 of the TOP 10 most important Italian winemaker , as reported in "Capital" Magazine and in several other specialist publications. • His name is well known in the international wine scene with an experience over than 25 years in the winemaking process. He has been published in the MOST important Italian wine Guides , such as Gambero Rosso, Veronelli, Espresso, Luca Maroni , and international ones such as Wine Spectator , Decanter ….. • In the Chianti Classico area he dedicates mostly to the Piccini Estates for which his having great results in the international wine scene. • He has been President – one of the most prestigious assignments - of the National Commissions, nominated by the Agricultural Ministry to assign the new wines Denominations and settle the Production Codes to the respective new wines denominations. • He contributed to assign the D.O.C.G denomination to Brunello di Montalcino and Chianti Classico ..He is also member of the Chamber of Commerce as well as of the Safeguard Consortium for the Tuscan D.O.C.G wines.

Full and beautifully etched on the palate, with excellent depth and structure. Vol • Aging : 10 months in oak barrels 6 months in French barriques 4 months refining in bottles • Wine Maker: Paolo Vagaggini • Tasting Notes: Brick red with a scent of sweet spices, black plums and a touch of rose petal. Palate showed fennel seeds, white pepper and dried rosemary mixed with plums and cherries.   10. Barberino Grappa Del Chianti NV • Grape : Pomace • Alc : 43 % Alc. Vol • Aging : 6 months in air tight stainless steel tanks before bottling • Uses exclusively the grape pomace resulting after the first grape pressing, after the first gentle pressing the pomace contains much of the original flavor of the sangiovese grapes • Process : The pomace is heated until it gives off steam, which is then captured, cooled, and condensed into a liquid. The purest alcohol and aromatic substances appear as steam at medium temperatures.
