The Dutch infrastructure Overview • National Library founded in 1798 • National deposit since 1974 • e-Depot started in 2003 • Currently main focus on “the Digital Library” • COLLECTION: • 117 km physical books, periodicals, manuscripts etc. • 20 million born digital articles and e-books in e-Depot • Policy to digitize every Dutch publication from 1470 onwards
