  1. TURKISH INSURANCE INSTITUTE

  2. Turkish Insurance Institute (TII) was established on 29th May 1970, by the equal shares of the Association of the Insurance and Reinsurance Companies of Turkey and the Milli Re. The Institute has been established with the statute of "Foundation" according to the related decree of the Turkish Civil Code.

  3. Since its establishment, the Institute has been in cooperation with the universities, has led studies and researches on topics about insurance and has been in relation with the national and international education institutes, in order to increase the competitiveness of the sector and to support its development.

  4. Through its Basic Insurance Training Programme, the Institute has brought around 25 % of the total employees in the sector.

  5. REORGANIZATION Taking into consideration the global changes, the Institute has entered a new process of reorganization in 2007. In this process, the Institute changed its mission, vision and adopted new targets.

  6. OUR VISION As the first and only organization in insurance training, research and consultancy services in Turkey, the vision of TII is to be the reference institution in the Balkans, the Middle East and Central Asia, in insurance education, research and in providing consultancy services.

  7. OUR MISSION • To increase the quality and efficiency of employment in insurance sector, • To compose sectoral information which is accessible and easy to share • To raise the awareness on insurance in the society through explaining the importance of insurance and introducing insurance products • To raise the consumer awareness to decrease the number of claims for the purpose of increasing the profitability of insurance companies, • Providing consultancy services to the markets of developing countries on the establishment of new institutions.

NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS • TII drafts and implements national and international projects to • Raise the awareness on insurance in the society through explaining the importance of insurance and introducing insurance products, • Raise the awareness of the related parties to decrease the number of incidents such as traffic accidents, fires etc. leading to claims, • Implement in Turkey, the vocational training standards recognized in Europe in finance sector, • Deepen the employment opportunities of the women and the young peole in Turkish insurance sector, • Increase the quality of the insurance vocational schools.

  15. CONSULTANCY SERVICES TII offers solutions specific to the corporations with its team composed of professionals and academicians. TII gives consultancy services, • To the R&D of the companies, • On various studies such as customer surveys, employee surveys, product surveys directed to the market and public opinion, • On the harmonization to the European Union of the institutions supervising and regulating the insurance sector in Turkey and abroad, • On the establishment of the infrastructure of the new institutions of the developing countries.

HUMAN RESOURCES • Private Employment Agency • Identifies the working areas required by the insurance sector and the qualities of the people employed in these areas • Directs the unemployed people to TII training programmes in order to supply the qualified work force that the insurance sector requires. • Directs those people willing to work for the insurance sector those areas that the insurance sector requires.
