  2. Elk Intro! Did you know elk are the biggest deer in the deer family? The amazing deer family is made up of Moose, Caribou, Mule deer and White tailed deer. Are you ready to go on a elk journey? LET’S GO!

  3. Brrr! Its cold where they live! Where do elk live? In the cold climates. They are located in the western forests where it is large, breezy, and cold. Elk migrate to tall mountains mostly in Canada. Elk use there habitat to blend into the mountains to stay away from there predators. What an elktastic habitat.

  4. Greeny grassy that’s what they love! Yum, yum, some tasty food for the elk! Elk love to eat all kinds of grasses, shrubs and bark that is delicious to them. Elk are herbivores and enjoy a healthy diet. Elk have to search for their food, they do not get fed. Don’t elk have a amazing diet?

  5. Little, cute, and fuzzy! What is little cute and fuzzy? A baby elk. Elk babies are called calves. They are born in the late May and early June. When they are born they are a light brown color. They do not have their antlers yet. Male elk or bulls grow their antlers every year. Aren't baby elk stunning?

  6. Elky, Elky fun facts! Lots and lots of juicy elk facts. Elk groups are called Gang’s. Elk are also called Wapiti’s. They live up to the age of 8 to 12 years old. They are amazing 4 feet long and colossal weight of up to 1,200 pounds. Aren’t elk the coolest animals ever?
