  2. Introduction • Agarment for the upper body usually having a front opening, collar, lapels, sleeves, and pockets. • A jacket typically has sleeves and fastens on side and front. Jacket without sleeves are vests.

  3. Types of Jacket • Blazer • Tuxedo • Blouson • Shrug • Flight jacket

Blazer • The term Blazer was originated with the red “Blazer” of the Lady Margaret Boat Club. • A Blazer is a type of jacket resembling as suit jacket. • Blazer is tailored from a more formal garment and solid color fabrics. • Blazer are worn with a wide variety of other clothes like shirts, T-shirt & polo Shirt .

Tuxedo • Tuxedo of men's wear was originated in the US around 1888. • Tuxedo is a semi formal or three piece suit for evening wear it is also called as Dinner jacket (British English). • It is a traditional wear ever since the 20th century by informal western dress code also known as “black tie”.

  6. Blouson • Blouson was originated from US Military during 1950’s. • Blouson Jacket is a coat that is drawn tight at the waist just like blouse with full sleeves and some of Blouson jackets have hood. • It is considered to be both sportswear and casual civilian clothing.

  7. Shrug • A shrug is a cropped with short or long sleeves cut in one with the body, usually for women. • A shrug cover a small portion of the upper body. • A bolero jacket is a more formal garment.

  8. Flight jacket • A Flight Jacket is a causal jacket that was originally created for pilots and became famous after that. • It is now evolved to letterman Jacket and Bomber Jacket that is more fashionable today.
