  3. Negative effects on insects • mass extinction of insects populations • decrease of food (fish, insect-eaters, bats, amphibians)

  4. 1 phase • Bridge „Sokolovských hrdinů“, Karviná, Olšeriver • Sky brightness 19,67 mag/arcsec2 • Spherical lamps with compact fluorescent bulb OSRAM Dulux 23 W warm white and mercury bulb HQL 50 W [3], [4], [5]

  5. 1 phase • Collecting by small brush from surface of spherical lamps on bridge • Assistance specialists from Univerzity of Ostrava

  6. 1 phase • Determined just representatives of may flies(Ephemeroptera) and midges(Chironomidae) included their maggots • Colonyes of spiders (araneae) • Insect species are at the beggining of food chain of many other species

  7. Secondphase • More localities • During whole year • Collecting of living samples - flypapers - vacuum cleaner

  8. Secondphase • Determination of other species of insect (moths, beetles) • More predators, not only spiders (ants, woodlouses) • Very different constitution during the year Melolontha melolontha Sialis lutaria
