We hope that you all enjoy your stay. • FRENCH EXCHANGE STUDENTS Yr10: Important meeting for all 1pm Tuesday 24th April ML2 SIM • GCSE CATERING REVISION: BTT's groups Tuesday after school sessions in KT2 3.45 - 5pm. Next session covering legislation, culinary terms and cooking methods. Only 4 weeks until the exam. BTT • LET`S DO GOLF: This afterschool activity will start this term. Thanks • YRS 7-9 DRAMA HOME LEARNING: There are a number of pieces of Drama Home Learning left in the Drama Office, due to the amazing effort many students put into their work we would ask that anyone wishing to keep their work collects it within the next week. After that time we will have to clear out the design sets created. Thank you for your co-operation. Drama Dept • AN OPPORTUNITY TO GET YOUR VOICE HEARD: Are you interested in helping South Dartmoor to continue improving by sharing your thoughts, observations and ideas? Then apply to join the Learning Council! Write a short letter of application to Mrs Padfield (Ma9) before Monday 23rd April! PDF • AFTER COLLEGE ACTIVITIES BUSES:The buses will be running again this term, one to Liverton, Heathfield, Bovey Tracey and Moretonhampstead and one • to Buckfast and Buckfastleigh leaving at 5.10pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. To book your seat fill in a slip from Student Reception as soon as possible. TYR • YEAR 11 ENGLISH CONTROLLED ASSESSMENTS: Year 11s please be aware of the current opportunities to re-do and improve English controlled assessments. If this applies to you, make sure that you attend late school and lunchtime support in English. If you are unsure, please see your English teacher to check your current controlled assessment grades. FHR • GEOGRAPHY : We will be continuing with our Tuesday lunchtime drop in session - these are open to all geographers especially those doing HLT (Year 8s), those preparing for GCSE examinations, AS and A2 exams in both Geography and World Development. Also every Wednesday from 4-5pm in the Geography department - their will be a surgery session - book a time with Mr Shaikh and the team to come and discuss any concerns about preparing for GCSE/AS/A2 exams. IT IS IMPORTANT WE KNOW YOU ARE COMING - SO WE CAN EXPECT YOU AND HELP! SHK • DRAMA Yrs 10-13: Tickets are on sale for Y10 and above in the Drama Office at lunchtimes 1.10pm -1.30pm for the AS/A2 Drama & Theatre Studies Public Performance on Monday 23rd April’12. The show is not suitable for under 14’s. The cost is £1 per ticket and there is limited availability so be quick. Drama • CAREERS Yr 11: Looking for a hairdressing apprenticeship?
