  2. Bell Ringer 15 Minutes • Set up a KWL chart on WWII • List 5 things that your know for K • 3 things that you want to know for L • 3 things that you learned from pages 55-56 in Zinn • Share Out

  3. AIM • I will be able to use evidence to support my claim and counter claims on America during WWII through text annotations and small group discussion.

  4. CHAMPS • C=conversation, we will be sharing out during group discussion, be RESPECTFUL do not speak over one another and be an active listener. • H=help, please raise your hand • A=activity, you are responding and listening to your peers, and supporting your claims using evidence from the text, and answering guided reading questions • M=movement, you are not. • P=participation means no heads down, no cell phones, we are supporting our arguments citing evidence from the text. YOU WILL NOT EARN A GRADE FOR THE DAY IF YOUR ARE NOT MENATLLY PRESENT

  5. Primary Resource Study 10 minutes • Read the text! • Be an active learner, annotate as you read, make connections, record thoughts, ask questions!

  6. Guided Reading 15 minutes (Cooperative learning groups) • Now share out with your group and as a group answer the guided reading questions based on the text.

  7. Exit Ticket 5 Minutes • Likes/ Dislikes about today’s activity and/or the process?
