  4. NASWI SAR • Mission • 1: 24/7/365 SAR for NASWI’s 21 tenant squadrons. • 15 or 30 minute alert during local tactical jet ops • 2: SAR/MEDEVAC support to NAVREGNW activities • 3: SAR/MEDEVAC support for civilian agencies

  5. NASWI SAR • Past performance • Calendar Year 2011 • 20 SAR/MEDEVAC missions • 14 lives saved • 800+ flight hours

  6. NASWI SAR • Capabilities • 13 passengers or 6 litters • 200 ft. rescue hoist • All weather (100-1/4, automatic approach/hover) • 560 gal fuel (3:30 endurance) • Limitations • 500-1 for SAR • 200 gal internal aux tank (4 seats/2 litters) • 500 lbs. inland SAR equipment
