COST 296 Action activities

The 8th Management Committee (MC) meeting of COST 296 took place in Cyprus from March 13-15. Key agenda items included budget discussions, activity reports from working groups, and the preparation of the final report for COST 296. Participants also deliberated on potential follow-up actions and upcoming meetings. Notably, the 9th MC and 5th Workshop are scheduled for October 7-11, 2008, in Rome, focusing on reviewing all activities since the project’s inception. The final report will feature review papers published in a dedicated issue of Annals of Geophysics and will allocate part of the 2007-2008 budget to support member participation in ESWW5.

  1. COST 296 Action activities • 8th Management Committee meeting was held on 13 – 15 March in Cyprus • Main agenda items: • Budget • Activity reports (WGs and other activities) • Preparation of the final report of COST 296 • Discussion on a possible following action • Next meetings

Some results from the 8th MC meeting • 9th COST 296 MC and 5th Workshop will be held on 7-11 October 2008 at INGV, Rome • Main topic is to review all work performed since beginning of the action • COST 296 Final Report will consist of review papers (one paper per WP) presented in the Workshop • These papers will be published in a special issue of Annals of Geophysics • Action Ch and VCh were tasked to start to prepare a proposal for a following action • COST 296 budget plan for 2007-2008 will include 20 k€ to support action members participation to ESWW5
