Understanding Five Number Summary and Box Plots on a Calculator
The Five Number Summary provides a concise overview of a data set, including key statistics: Minimum, Lower Quartile (Q1), Median, Upper Quartile (Q3), and Maximum. The Interquartile Range (IQR) offers insights into data spread, calculated as Q3 - Q1. To compute this on a calculator, enter your data into a list, access the STAT menu, and select 1:1-VarStats. Visualize your data through box plots by configuring the plot settings. This guide assists users in effectively navigating calculators to analyze and interpret statistical data.
