HIRE HEROES USA • Introduction • Who are we? • Hire Heroes USA has 27 full-time and 2 part-time employees, headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, and with offices in San Diego, Dallas, and Colorado Springs. • What do we do? • Hire Heroes USA is dedicated to creating job opportunities for US military veterans and their spouses through personalized employment training and corporate engagement. To achieve this, Hire Heroes USA provides the following programs & services: • Online/Telephone Coaching • Education and Transition Workshops • Career Opportunity Days • Hire Heroes USA Job Board

HIRE HEROES USA • The Result • Since July 2010, Hire Heroes USA has: • Helped more than 1,400 veterans/spouses achieve employment • Received, revised, and returned to veterans more than 5,000 professional-quality resumes that translated military experience into transferable job skills • Conducted 100 Workshops at 30 different military installations for 1,500 wounded/ill/injured troops and spouses

ECONOMIC STATISTICS • Unemployment rate for Veterans (2012): • Post 9/11 Veteran: 9.9% • Post 9/11 Veterans ages 18 - 24: 20% • All Veterans : 7% • Post 9/11 Veterans • Post 9/11 Veteran Defined: Served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces at any time since 2001 . • Young male veterans (18 - 24) who served during Post 9/11 - era had an unemployment rate of 20% in 2012, higher than that of young male non-veterans at 16.4% • Post 9/11 Veterans who were current or past members of the Reserve or National Guard had an unemployment rate of 7.2%, lower than the rate for those veterans who were not members at 13.7% • Post 9/11 Veterans who served in Iraq, Afghanistan, or both had an unemployment rate of 10.9% • Source: Bureau of Labor and Statistics 2013

ECONOMIC STATISTICS • All Veterans w/Service Connected Disability • Among all veterans, those with a service-connected disability had an unemployment rate of 6.5% in August 2012, about the same as the rate for veterans with no disability at 7.1% • 1 in 3 employed veterans with a service-connected disability worked in the public sector in August 2012 compared with about 1 in 5 veterans with no disability • Post 9/11 Veterans w/Service Connected Disability • 28% of Post 9/11 Veterans reported having a service-connected disability compared with about 14% of all veterans • Source: Bureau of Labor and Statistics 2013
