  2. There are certain touristic area where the Government of Nepal have imposed the restriction policy in order to protect its fragile environment, ecology and culture. Manaslutsum valley is one of them. Tsum valley trekwas opened for foreigners only from early nineties. The restriction policy contributed it to remain; a highly isolated place with preserved culture and tradition which remained intact from centuries. • Trekkers have to buy some permits to enter the region. MCAP, ACAP and restricted area permit are mandatory during Manaslutsum valley trek.

ManasluTsum valley trekking Permit Cost Information: • MCAP costs NRS. 2,000 per person • ACAP costs NRS. 2,000 per person • For SAARC Nationals: MCAP and ACAP costs NRS 200 (400 in total) • No entrance fee is required for the children under 10 years of age • Restricted area permits costs USD 70 per week for the restricted area (Jagat to Dharapani).

  4. A trekking guide costs USD 25 per day, a porter may cost USD 20 per day and they normally manage their own food and accommodation. • A trekking permit is must to travel the restricted area.

Rules to obtain ManasluTsum Valley Permit: • There are rules that the trekkers should meet to purchase the trekking permits: • Trekkers must be in at least two in group ( guide or porters are not countable) • Trekkers must accompany the government registered guide or a porter • Restricted area permit must be purchased through the government licensed trekking agency

  6. Essential for ManasluTsum Valley Permit: • First trekkers need to obtain individual entry permits – ACAP and ACAP • Two passport size photo are required while applying for each entry permits • Valid passport with at least 6 months of validity date

  7. Terms and Conditions: • The entry permit is valid for single entry only and is non-refundable and non-transferable. The permit holder is allowed to travel the designated places within the conservation area. • The person travelling the Conservation Area shall abide by the rules and regulation of the Wild Life Conservation Act (2029) and the regulation imposed by the act. • Trekkers must hold the entry permit through the entire trip and should show it if concerned personnel of the Conservation Area want to check it

Entry Permits available at the following location: • 10 AM – 5 PM • Kathmandu: Nepal Tourism Board (Bhrikutimandap), Kathmandu (for Annapurna & Manaslu) • Opening hours: Sunday – Saturday except on public holiday. • 9 AM – 5 PM • Pokhara: Nepal Tourism Board, Tourist Service Center, PardiDamside (for Annapurna only) • Opening hours: Sunday – Saturday except on public holidays in Pokhara • 10 AM – 5 PM • Besisahar, Lamjung: ACAP entry permit conunter, Besisahar, Lamjung ( for Annapurna only) • Opening hours: Sunday – Saturday except on public holidays in Lamjung • Read ManasluTsum Valley Trek Permit Cost for more information.
