Funding and are totally reliant on public donations, donkey sponsoring and fundraising, no needy, unwanted or sick donkey will be turned away but will be warmly welcomed to our rescue centre and given all the care and love they need for the remainder of their lives. We are very fortunate to be visited twice yearly by Equine dentists and farriers from GAWF (Greek Animal Welfare Fund) and the CAWG (Cretan Animal Welfare Group)  They all do a fantastic job with the donkeys and we always look forward to seeing them... Most of our rescue donkeys have never seen a vet, had there teeth checked or hooves properly trimmed.
