1. Why I Needed A Cert 3 Landscape Construction I had completed my landscaping course when I was in my early twenties and while I was doing well for myself, there were times when I felt at a loss. Whenever I had to get a solid structure built, such as a patio or a cabana, I had to depend on someone else. I had to hire another contractor to complete the job and there were a few times, when they were not able to complete the project in the time or budget that I specified. That is when I decided that the only way out was for me to get my own Certificate III in Landscape Construction. Once I got my certification, things started to become so much easier – I knew not only how to design these solid structures, but also execute them with perfection. As a matter of fact, once I had completed a few patios and porches on my own, I knew that now I was at a stage where I could hire people to do the task and simply supervise them to get the job done to perfection. In addition to having understood how to mix cement and concrete and use them well, I also understood more than the basic tenets of plumbing and electrical wiring. This meant that now I had the confidence to put in water features, such as fountains and koi ponds as well as electrical additions like lights. With my Cert 3 Landscape Construction, I was able to take my business to levels that I could have never imagined!
