Where are we going??. IH Directors’ Conference, April 2013. Is this what we want to do?. Ending up where we want to be. Envisioned future. What is a BIHAG ? a Big Hairy International House Goal i.e. a very ambitious , clearly articulated plan that revs up the whole organisation.

(Nike, 1960s) • ROLE MODEL BHAG- • Become the Harvard of the West (Stanford University, 1940s) • INTERNAL TRANSFORMATION BHAG- • Become number one or two in every market we serve and revolutionise this company to have the strengths of a big company combined with the leanness and agility of a small company (GEC, 1980s) MJG_0413
