  2. Let’s look at a few more elements!

  3. Element 7 is N, for Nitrogen.

  4. Nitrogen is another gas. It is most of what we breathe in the air!

  5. Element 17 is Cl, or Chlorine.

  6. Chlorine is a green gas.

  7. We use chlorine in bleach,which we use to clean stuff.

  8. Element 26 is Fe, for Iron. Iron is a metal.

  9. Iron rusts.Here’s some rusty iron.

  10. We use iron to make steel.

  11. Element 20 is Ca, or Calcium.It is called an alkali metal.

  12. There is lots of calciumin bones and chalk!

  13. Element 11 is Na, or Sodium.It is also an alkali metal.

  14. Sodium combines with chloride

  15. and together they makea molecule, NaCl,

  16. which is salt!
