  4. When do we use them in Spanish? Rule 1: At the beginning of the sentence. • Ella es soltera. Rule 2: Names such as: • Animals  Rocco • People  Evelyn • Things  computadora Mac • Places  Los Angeles • Institutions  Simon Tech You must write in lower case the generic nouns that are in front of nouns Examples: • calle Cuatro • isla de Toro • río Nilo
