Why are they installed? • To be able to offer a high quality car wash • In order to avoid spots after each wash • Demineralised water has a very low salt content and prevents spots from appearing Final Dry Surface

  3. Demineralisers How does a Demineraliser work?Reverse Osmosis Flow Concentrated Solution Natural-Direct Osmosis When two solutions with different concentrations (pic 1) enter in contact by means of a semi-permeate membrane, natural forces make water flow from the most diluted to the most concentrated solution until their salt concentrations are equal at both sides of the membrane (pic 2). The level difference is the so called Osmotic Pressure. Reverse Osmosis After careful observation of this phenomenon, this situation could be reversed by application of a pressure that should be at least the same as the Osmotic Pressure, making the water to flow in a non-natural direction through the membrane (pic 3). 11. Demineralisers Demineralisers. Sales arguments • Waters with higher salinity and different chemical content (filtration or desinfection) • Antiscalant instead of a water softener • Suitable for very hard water • Cheaper • Ecological • Requires less room • Production can be upgraded by adding elements • Need of previous chemical-microbiological analysis • Wide range of pre-treatments. • Decrease of break-downs • Optimal antiscalant dose • Equipment that can be assembled into acabinet • Wide ranfe of safety measures. Compromises among equipment protection and ease of maintenance • High quality in critical components (recognised Brands)
