Queen Elizabeth Queen Elizabeth II was born Princess Elizabeth Alexandra Mary on April 21, 1926, in London, to Prince Albert, Duke of York (later known as King George VI), and Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon. She married Philip Mountbatten, Duke of Edinburgh, in 1947, became queen on February 6, 1952, and was crowned on June 2, 1953.

Rumors abounded that she was deaf and dumb until she made her first public appearance at her uncle Prince George's wedding in 1934.  In her youth, she was considered a beauty as she had an 18-inch waist and "vivid blue eyes". In her late teens and early adult years, she enjoyed socializing with high society and the young aristocratic set. She was often seen in the press at balls, night clubs and parties. The number of her official engagements also increased. On 9 February 2002,71, the high-living, somewhat testy sister of Queen Elizabeth, died peacefully in her sleep at London's King Edward VII Hospital at 6:30 a.m.

  6. Prince Charles Prince of Wales, Charles Philip Arthur George, was born 14 November 1948, is the eldest child and heir apparent of Queen Elizabeth II. InJuly 29, 1981 he married Diana Spencer but they divorced in August 28, 1996. Queen Elizabeth II urged the couple to get “an early divorce”. During the interview, Diana also addressed Charles' alleged affair with Camilla Parker-Bowles , an old friend he'd go onto marry in 2005.

  7. On 31 August 1997, Diana was fatally injured in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma road tunnel in Paris, which also caused the deaths of her companion Dodi Fayed and the driver, Henri Paul, acting security manager of the Hôtel Ritz Paris.

  9. Queen Elizabeth now is 90 years old, still married with Prince Phillips. The Queen has 8 grandchildren: William, Harry, Peter, Zara, Beatrice, Eugenie, Louise and James. as 3 great granchildren: Savannah, Isla and George.

Their second child is called Charlotte and she was born in May 2, 2015 (1 year old), Paddington, London, United Kingdom
