  3. Objectives Principals WBAT: • Accurately rate teachers and lead team using 4-square framework • Identify the right next steps that will lead to increased performance for each staff member s/he manages • Facilitate a highly effective Talent Deep Dive between Sept 25-Oct 12

  11. Learn the 4 Square Framework PRIOR • 2 axis – Results & Values • 4 quadrants – Irreplaceables, Coachables, Straight Talk, Up or Out DURING • Assess the gaps & strengths • Prescriptions

  13. Use the 4 Square Framework On Your Own (10 minutes): - Place your lead team on the 4 Square • Reflect on prescriptions Partner with your campus counterpart - Principal 1 talks through each staff member & Partner gives feedback/probes (20 minutes) - Switch & Repeat (20 minutes)

  14. Putting It All Together Materials: - Blank 4-square poster on wall (HA brings) • Individual document with your teachers (each leader team member brings) Process • Each team member writes names in different color on poster • Each team member talks through their teachers (3 minutes/teacher)

Raise your hand now if you don’t know when yours is. • Prepare your team for the 4-hour meeting (each person needs to come with 1 hand out that includes ALL the teachers s/he manages – no other prep) • Read Irreplaceables Report by TNTP
