  6. While this is not a comprehensive report on what is happening, we will attempt to give you a glimpse of what is going on around the world.

  7. EAST CENTRAL AFRICA DIVISION

  8. Number of Campaigns 304 • Number of Youth Participants 17,657 • Number of Baptisms 11,869 Number of New converts not yet baptized 2,585 These converts will be baptized at the next baptism.

  15. Here is an example of the outstanding things that are happening as a result of the Elijah Project.

  17. A 15 years old, ADI BASAG preached four full successful campaigns. In his second campaign he made an appeal for baptism. While people were gathering in front of the hall he went down from the pulpit and joined them, not to pray for them but to declare that he was also going to be baptized.

  22. CARIBBEAN UNION CONFERENCE OPERATIONELIJAH 1 January – May, 2005 34 Churches conducted Youth and Pathfinder Crusades; Total number of souls – 568 in Operation Elijah Phase 1

  24. Pastor Dixon from Manchester in Central Jamaica Conference baptizes an Elijah project campaign attendee.

  25. Young people listened as youth pastor, Christopher Harvey, preached to them in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

  26. WEST JAMAICA CONFERENCE • About 102 persons were baptized in West Jamaica Conference between mid-June 2004 and May 2005.

  33. SPRING BAPTISM The 2005 campaigns will end in September. At that time we expect to baptize more than 40,000 people division-wide.

  34. In the NORTH EAST BRAZILIAN UNION MISSION1,632 youth participated in Evangelism programs. This project will be finished in October, at which time we will have the final results.

  36. Small History involving young evangelists: Campaign of youth evangelism in Lautaro – South Chile Conference Results: 35 people baptized. 17 in the first baptism in September 2004, and 18 people baptized in the second baptism on April 2005. 1 new church established.

  37. Small History involving young evangelists cont’d. In the summer of 2004, a group of thirty young people from Lautaro Church, in southern Chile accepted the challenge to evangelize a new area. The leader, Noemi Sarabia, was helped by pastor Juan Fernandez, and organized the youth for this missionary work. They followed exactly all the instruction they received in an empowering youth seminar offered by the Conference Youth Ministries Department. In September of 2004 they concluded the meetings and baptized 17 people. The local church helped buy the property to build a church. In the first quarter of 2005, the youth again evangelized the area, baptizing eighteen more people.

  40. As fruit of the work and influence of these groups during the months of April, May, and June 1,600 persons were baptized.

  45. To begin in May 2006 • The rest of 2005 and the beginning of 2006 have been set aside as the training season. • The implementation will commence in May 2006
