HIP PAIN TREATMENT The hip joint is fairly robust. It is capable of withstanding a great degree of wear/tear. This ball and socket joint fits and allows fluid motion. However, as with all joints of the human body, this joint is also suitable to a high degree of wear and tear. Arthritis:- Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis are exceedingly common causes of hip pain. Arthritis leads to joint inflammation and cartilage breakdown. Pain usually gradually becomes worse with increasing time. Fracture of hip:- With increasing age bones in the hip also become brittle and weak. If inflamed, these can lead to irritation of the tendons Strain:- Repeated activities can also put a tremendous strain on the muscles, tendons and the ligaments.
Avascular necrosis:- This condition occurs when blood flow to the hip slows down and bone tissue starts dying away. Hip fracture and hip dislocation are common causes of AVN's Hip pain Symptoms:- Depending on the condition that is causing hip pain, discomfort in the thighs may occur due to a. Pain in the thigh b. Groin region c. Buttocks d. Regular swimming combined with physical therapy can help drastically improve the range of motion.
