Important things about Gauss • He learned to read only. • Was a child prodigy • When he was 17, he loved mathematics • He said “The mathematic is the queen of the sciences, and the arithmetic is the queen of the mathematic”
The maturity of gauss • In 1796 he demonstrated how to draw a polygon of 17 sides • In 1799 he was the first person who proved the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra • In 1801 predicted the approaching Ceres orbit parameters by least squares. • In 1809 he was appointed director of the Göttingen Observatory. In the same year deepened on differential equations and conic sections. • He was a German mathematician and physical scientist who contributed significantly to many fields, including number theory, statistics, analysis ,differential geometry, geodesy, geophysics, electrostatics, astronomy and optics.
