  4. Superconducting Magnet • Great help from KEK on the design of the magnet Two visits to KEK: 3*3 man*month 2*3 man*month • Help from KEK for the bid of the cable and the magnet • Help from KEK on magnet construction

  5. Drift Chamber • Dr. Uno had two visits (Aug. 2002, Mar. 2003) for the discussion/Review of the drift chamber • A lot of valuable suggestions • A best test completed successfully this month at KEK

  6. EMC • Prof. Sakai visited IHEP two times • A lot of valuable suggestions

  7. 图3.8.20 桶部光电倍增管的支撑环,内外两层共176个孔。 TOF system • Prof. Komamiya plan to work on TOF endcap(no funding yet) • Dr. Kichimi had two visits(Aug. 2002, Mar. 2003) for the discussion/review of the TOF system • A lot of valuable suggestions

  8. Backgrounds and installation • Prof.s Bai J.Z. and Liu X. visited KEK during last shutdown(Dec. 2002) to observe the installation process • Dr. H. Yamamoto had one visit (Mar. 2002) to lecture us the background issue.

  9. BESIII software • Several visits to KEK • The first model for the BESIII offline software

  10. Neutrino physics • KamLAND experiments: • Prof. A. Suzuki visited IHEP in 2001 • Prof. Y.F. Wang visited Kamioka(Dec. 2002) and will visit Sendai in Sep. 14 – Oct. 7, 2003 • A Ph.D. Student is now at Kamioka • IHEP contribution: Trigger, GPS timing • Data analysis: cosmic-induced neutron background Dec. n oscillation paper, neutron flux paper • Long Baseline neutrino experiments • Prof.s Hagiwara and Nishikawa visited IHEP(Aug. 2002) • Prof. Yang C.G. visited KEK (Apr. 2002) • R&D on key detector technology • Physics opportunities (5 PRD papers) • Search for an experimental hall

  15. Other visits • Offline software: 2-3 *7 days • BESII physics: 1*7 days • RPC muon chamber: 2*7 days • Background: 1*7 days

  16. Neutrino physics • To be included in the JSPS core-Uni. Program • Jointly work on the detector R&D • More work on physics opportunities • Reactor neutrino experiment for q13 • Continue KamLAND one more Ph.D student
