The L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library, led by Shelly Collins-Fuerbringer and Ashley Bieber, was designated as an "Early Literacy Resource Center" through a 2012 LSTA initiative. Our goal is to provide the community with essential early childhood and literacy resources. We conduct educational storytimes, distribute free book coupons, and offer transportation assistance for families. Our inviting spaces feature themed reading nooks, storytime kits, and interactive play areas designed to foster adult involvement and children's literacy skills. Join us in making learning fun and engaging!

Final advice? • Focus on things that are adaptable • Remember that we already offer a lot of early literacy activities and spaces in the library that are fostering “early literacy”- it’s just explaining it to parents that helps them understand play and be more involved
