  1. Analysis PC Schedule 2009 Tuesdays fortnightly Proposed dates: 21 July Cancelled 4 August 18 August To include discussion of online analysis 1 September 15 September Let me know of any items you wish to present! PC 383

  2. Schedule & Thoughts & Questions on on- & offline Analysis - John C. On-line analysis - Linda C. Beamline - Marco A. TOF calibration - Yordan K. Beam momentum measurement with TOFs - Mark R. ---- Beam Weighting - David A. Statistics - David F. Spectrometer field mapping - Terry H. and/or students AOB PC 383

  3. Thoughts & Questions On-Line / Near-Online Analysis & Reconstruction These are my thoughts & questions – more from Linda on on-line Mainly short(ish)-term thinking at the moment - but should not lose sight of the longer term  Full emittance measurements in real time.... eventually There will be muons through MICE this autumn Wish to commission and understand the beam line (alas no spectrometer yet)  Alignment + Momentum + Particle Content + Emittance Would like feedback & results in ~real time PC 383

  4. Plan is for ... Detector commissioning & calibration periods:  Calibration data  Calibration constants  G4MICE / database (presumably) Followed by Beamline commissioning: Beamline data  G4MICE [+Calibration constants for TOFs, Ckovs, KL]  PID, Momentum spectrum & Emittance of beam(s) (eventually) simulation of performance of MICE (never yet done!) Deliverables are: 1) Calibration constants  G4MICE / database 2)Momentum, Emittance & particle content of beam Questions: What’s in place? Who’s responsible? What are the timescales? What about data bases? What else needed? Is this the right forum for this discussion? PC 383
