VOCABULARY (of plays) Monologue: one person speaking/there is potential audience/crowd/more than one person listening Dialogue: more than one person speaking-taking turns Soliloquy: character alone/no one else is hearing it can’t lie/honest response/kind of in your own head Aside: speaking to the audience—dramatic irony would exist here—we know what’s happening Q: What technique is Shakespeare using in this part of the play—monologue/dialogue/ soliloquy/aside?
