  2. Geography and Climate • Italy covers up 116,305 square miles and is shaped like a boot if you look at it from a map. • It is slightly larger than Arizona (a state in the United States). • The country generally has mountains around, it has the mountains called Alpine Mountains, but they do have plains in the area too. • Italy has little water and little land compared to the United States, Italy’s land is 294,140 square miles and water is 7,200 square miles • Their roadways are very small 488,967 km so they must not have a lot of jobs do to with roads • Italy attracts a lot of tourist and a lot of them like to visit the leaning tower and the elps mountains

  3. Economy Data • Italy’s GPD growth rate is -2.3% which isn't very good compared to the United States, theirs is 1.8% • Italy doesn’t even have a poverty rate which is very good, so people there must be very wealthy • But there rate of unemployment is 10.9% which is higher then ours, so maybe not everyone is wealthy • Italy’s trading partners include Germany, France, China, and even the United States • So with all of this information I would think Italy is a developed country which is very good

  4. Unique Traditions • Italian is the official language of Italy, although languages change from place to place . • Most youths speak English which is the most common second language in Italy, older people prefer to speak German. • Almost all Italians are Roman Catholic, although many people do not even practice a religion, most people don’t even go to church. • Men and women greet each other by a handshake our a hug if family, if a person’s hand is dirty he or she may use a pinky or forearm. • Smoking is common but has decreased since 2005 because Italy made a law that said people can not smoke in public places • Men remove there hat when entering a building to show respect to people

  5. current Events • Italy was in the European financial system and they were in a debate with Poland, Greece, Ireland, and Spain about the Greek debate crises • But how could that effect the United States, whenever there is a problem in the world everyone wants to bring the United States in it • So right now they are trying to bring the weakened economy of the United States to come into the Crises which we don’t want to do because it will put a lot of pressure on our economy • It has a big effect on Americans because if one of goes country's goes bank robbed then they will want to invest in some of the largest banks in the country so people wan have enough money

  6. THE END, SO LONG!!!!!!!!!!!
