  6. HOW? Design an individual dissemination strategy

  7. WHY? Find out the goal of each dissemination, the aim

WHAT: STRESS REDUCED LEARNING • WHOM: • English Department of Education in Catalonia. • Schools and teachers of language • HOW: • Being invited to explain SRL to the responsible of Foreign Languages Department, partner of a project called “Neues lernen” . (Neues Lernen Lingua 2 project, 72097-CP-2-2001)

  12. WHAT: STRESS REDUCED LEARNING • WHY: • To improve learning and teaching • To reduce stress to teachers and students • To test a new methodology which aims to: • Enable students to become self-confident, autonomous

Howto get teachers involved in SRL • Summary of SRL methodology upload to the net and mailing invitation to join the group in order to: • Get more information • Share ideas, doubts • Put into practice • Mailing list of language teachers involved in projects by the Department. • Personal contact with colleagues and friends

How to keep teachers involved with the survey • Sending e-mails with updated tests • Creating material to carry out some specific tests • Quiz • PWP with images • Glossaries • Translation vocabulary lists • Explanatory texts • Clarifying the content • Summarising the main ideas on each test • Suggesting ways for a better practice

WHAT: MULTIMEDIA • WHOM: • LanguageTeachers and schools • HOW: • Seminars. • HOW COULD IT BE DISSEMINATED? • Choosing activities to exemplify the way of working • Using the mailing lists to spread this methodology • Inviting teachers to: • get in depth • practice with the activities • generate more activities • get feedback

WHAT: INTERACTIVE WHITEBOARD METHODOLOGY • WHOM: • Educational Department of Catalonia. • Local Inspector. • Local community. • HOW: • Barcelona • Personal meeting with the local inspector and the department. (They provided us with 2 IWB) • Design a pattern unit using IWB • Languages (English, Catalan, Spanish, French) • Biology, history, Industrial technology.

Our local educational department invited us to disseminate this methodology: • Doing some lectures • On provincial level • On local level. • Training courses: • 2007/08: • IES Josep Vallverdú (20 teachers/60) • 2008/09: • IES Josep Vallverdú (19 teachers/60) • IES La serra (17 teachers/50) • Preparing materials ready to use.

WHY: • To get to know the project. • To promote the potentiality of IWBs in educational field. • To become a pionner school on this technology. • To help improve learning and teaching process by: • Giving extra multimedia tools to learn • Ensuring a better motivation, • Helping critical thinking and creativity • Emphasizing interactivity (teacher/student and student/student)
