Designing Your Professional Workstation • Each office may design their own workstation with the components that will best meet their needs. • One (1) Professional typical will be chosen and installed throughout the department. • Some storage modifications, within the same footprint may be made for different occupants.

  3. INNOSPACE, INC. Standard elements in every station: • All stations are 72 square feet – the most common size is 8’-0” x 9’-0”, depending on what your space allows. • All workstation panels are a maximum of 64”h, due to building code restrictions. • All Professional stations receive a non-locking rolling door.

  4. INNOSPACE, INC. Standard elements in every station: • All Professional stations receive (unless otherwise decided) a worksurface with an integral keyboard surface that is adjustable in height and angle (ergonomic).

  5. INNOSPACE, INC. Standard elements in every station: • All Professional stations receive a center drawer. • All professional stations receive overhead storage bins with task lighting below each and one personal shelf.

  6. INNOSPACE, INC. Standard elements in every station: • All Professional workstations will have (2) duplex receptacles above the work surface for easy access. • All Professional workstations will have a tack board.

  7. INNOSPACE, INC. Standard elements in every station: • All Professional workstations will have a tool rail installed at the time of installation and will put together a list of accessories each person would like after moving into their new space (see Tools Selection.ppt). • All Professional workstations will have one wastebasket.

  8. INNOSPACE, INC. Standard finishes in every station: • All finish selections have been standardized throughout the departments. (Please note that scanned finishes are not absolutely accurate depictions of the true color. Actual samples will be brought to the initial meeting.) • All components within a workstation (overheads, files, storage cabinets, etc.) will be locking. Each station will have a different key number than the other stations in the department. What information should you bring to the first meeting? • Are there any special needs that need to be taken into consideration? • Do you prefer a “L” layout (worksurface on two walls) or a “U” layout (worksurface on three walls)? • What type of work do you do – computer intensive, paper intensive, etc.? • What type of storage do you need – binders, filing, etc.? • How much of each type of storage do you need: • Filing – how many drawers, how wide are the drawers? • Binders – how many shelved, how wide are the shelves? • Do you prefer open storage or closed storage (bookcase v. storage cabinet)? • Do you want a place to hang your coat inside the station or in a central location?
