Understanding Bullying: Definitions, Types, and How to Address It

Schmitt Elementary emphasizes that bullying is intentional, unwanted, and involves repeated actions. It can take many forms, including physical, verbal, social, and electronic bullying. Key points to remember include the repeated nature of bullying, its intentional aspect, and the power imbalance that often exists. If you believe you are being bullied, it's crucial to identify trusted adults and report incidents immediately. Our goal is to create a safe environment where everyone belongs and feels empowered to speak up against bullying.
