  5. Change of subjects If the subjects being taken at A2 differ from the ones put on the UCAS form UCAS must be informed or risk losing the place. SO If a subject has been dropped or if extra subjects have been taken up, let UCAS know the exam board and subject title.

  15. OPTIONS Take up University place ‘Adjust’ Defer Take already arranged GAP Withdraw, take a GAP, reapply Retake and reapply Priority remark deadline 30th August. None of the above!

  16. GOT THE REQUIRED GRADES? DO NOTHING! You have got your place and it will be confirmed. Check TRACK Return AS12 reply slip without delay or follow given instructions.

  17. WANT TO DEFER? Ring the Firm choice university with your UCAS number and course code to hand, and explain the situation. Unlikely to agree if you are a ‘near miss’ but might confirm place for that year.

  18. JUST MISSED THE GRADES? IF you have ‘near miss’ grades check TRACK for a decision and then telephone the university if necessary. They may confirm the place or make a changed course offer which you do not have to accept.

  19. JUST MISSED THE GRADES? IF rejected by Firm but have grades for Insurance you will be placed there. n.b.Maybe accommodation challenges Contractual agreement

  20. Adjust Your results have met or exceeded the conditions of your conditional firm choice. The adjustment period runs 19th August. Your adjustment period starts when CF becomes UF 5 calendar days – five 24 hour periods including Sat & Sun to register & secure alternative place. Ends 31st August

  21. Adjust contd Register on TRACK. – ‘Register for Adjustment’ on choices screen Contact university to find another place The uni will check you exceed the condition of your UF choice They will tell you if they can offer place and you can accept. TRACK screen will be updated with new choice.
